What happened?
Actress Park Kyung-hye said she has applied for a long-term unrented apartment, according to a video posted to the YouTube channel '혜리' on October 9. She said she completed her second-round application that day, after checking whether she met the conditions. No move-in result has been announced yet.
What is a long-term unrented apartment?
Park explained the program in the video. It applies to apartments whose previous resident has moved out and which have not been rented for more than six months. The government offers these homes at prices below market rate. Park said that raising the deposit can lower the monthly rent. Host Hye-ri compared it to a housing subscription, and Park agreed the two are similar.
Why did she apply?
Park had earlier shared her daily life in a six-pyeong one-room in Gangnam on her YouTube channel. In the new video she said she applied because she met the requirements, and she described it as a step toward finding a home suited to her living situation.
Other updates from the video
Park also said she visited an eye clinic on Hye-ri's strong recommendation. She described pain in her right eye as if an eyelash had gotten in, and said she is now keeping the eye moist after treatment. The same day, she also went to an ENT clinic.
