How we choose sources, use AI, handle fan-community reactions and fix our mistakes.

AI writes, code checks

Our articles are drafted and translated by AI from official announcements and Korean media reports, and we say so at the end of every article. Before anything is published, automatic checks run:

  • Numbers: every date, rank, sales figure or view count must match the facts collected from the sources.
  • Wording: if more than 25% of the text overlaps the source's wording, the draft is stopped. We report facts in our own words.

A draft that fails a check is held for human review instead of being published.

How we use sources

  1. Official sourcesFactsAgencies, broadcasters, organisers and governments. Facts can be cited, with a link.
  2. News agencies and mediaFactsYonhap and other Korean media. Facts can be cited, with a link to the report.
  3. Fan communities (theqoo)Reactions onlyA signal of how Korean fans are reacting — never a source of facts.

Rules for community reactions

  • We store only titles, post numbers, view and comment counts and times.
  • We never store or re-upload post text, images or screenshots.
  • Reactions are summarised in our own words, with no more than two short quotes.
  • We always link to the original post and never show usernames.
  • Facts come only from official sources and the press.
  • Takedown requests are handled within 24 hours.
  • Nothing we collect is used to train AI models.

Rumours and private lives

We report dating news and controversies only when there's an official statement, and we don't present claims as facts. Headlines never say more than the article. We don't retell personal stories posted in online communities.

Photos

We don't use news agency photos, TV captures or social media screenshots. Creative Commons photos are shown with the author, the license and a link to the original.

Corrections

If we got something wrong, use “Request a correction” at the end of the article or our contact page. We check the sources and fix the article in every language. If a report we relied on is deleted, our article comes down automatically — we recheck sources every day for 30 days after publishing.

Takedown requests

If you wrote a post or own material mentioned on our site and want it removed, contact us. We handle takedown requests within 24 hours.

Polls and reactions

Reader polls, reaction buttons and cheers are not scientific surveys. They only show how the readers who chose to take part responded. We count one vote per device and leave out bots.

Rankings

Rankings are calculated by code from public data. They aren't picked by AI or by hand, and nobody can pay to change them. See how rankings are calculated.

Ads and affiliate links

Ads are always labelled. Some articles show Coupang Partners banners, and we receive a commission when you buy through them. Neither changes what we write or how we rank.
