Netflix has released the main teaser for its original series Dead-End Job, which will premiere worldwide exclusively on the platform on October 30. According to the teaser, the story centers on Hyuk-jun, played by Lee Jae-wook, a young man struggling to make a living who is pulled into Spider Staffing, a strange agency that promises jobs starting at ten times the minimum wage.

The main teaser opens with Hyuk-jun lamenting that his life seems ruined, before the agency boss, played by Lee Hee-joon, offers him a job with a generous daily pay. Hyuk-jun quickly finds that the high reward comes with a sinister threat.

Who is in the cast?

Lee Jae-wook leads the series. Go Min-si plays Yeon-ju, a mysterious woman who asks Hyuk-jun whether he wants to know what Spider Staffing really does. Kim Min-ha plays Ji-yun, Hyuk-jun's younger sister, who tracks him down to the agency. Special appearances by Choi Hyun-wook, Yoon Kyung-ho and Ko Chang-seok are also part of the lineup.

What is the show about?

The series blends the everyday struggle of earning a living with horror and mystery. Its premise, a job that looks too good to be true, has drawn comparisons to the pressure-driven survival themes of Squid Game, though the story is set in a very different everyday setting.
