What happened with Jo Se-ho's anonymous account?

An anonymous social media account nicknamed '조세호 발칵시 계폭' opened on October 11 and quickly drew public attention. Its profile states that the account is run without comedian Jo Se-ho's consent and that he is "alive and well so far." Four short videos have been posted, showing him eating a birthday meal, playing guitar, and entering through a front door, with a caption describing him as 44 years old and a full-time homemaker.

Who is running the account?

The operator has not revealed their identity. However, a female voice appears in the videos, and reports suspect the account is run by Jo Se-ho's wife. A disappearing story on the account showed text messages exchanged with Jo, with his saved contact name followed by a finger-heart emoji, which added to the speculation.

Why has Jo Se-ho been out of the spotlight?

In December of last year, Jo Se-ho was caught up in controversy over alleged ties to a gangster. He stepped down from his regular appearances on tvN's You Quiz on the Block and KBS2's 1 Night 2 Days. He has continued to appear on Netflix's variety show Driver.

His former agency, A2Z Entertainment, said he feels deep responsibility for the misunderstandings and controversies raised against him. The agency also said it would pursue legal action more swiftly and strongly to clear his name. Jo himself said he is only an acquaintance of the man identified as A, and that the allegations linked to that relationship are not true. In August, he shared an update on social media for the first time in about eight months.
