> Actor Ha Jung-woo announced on the 14th that he will marry longtime partner Cha Jung-won, and singer Solbi announced her engagement to actor Lee Kyu-han the next day. Both weddings will be private. The two stars also share a second career as painters and authors.

Two well-known Korean entertainers shared wedding news within 24 hours of each other, according to Star News. Actor Ha Jung-woo announced his marriage on the 14th, and singer Solbi followed on the 15th.

## What was announced

**Ha Jung-woo and Cha Jung-won.** On the 14th, Ha Jung-woo shared that he will marry his longtime partner, Cha Jung-won. A representative of the couple's agencies said the wedding will take place on December 13 at a hotel in Seoul. The ceremony will be private.

**Solbi and Lee Kyu-han.** On the 15th, Solbi's agency, Jian Castle, issued an official statement. It described Solbi, a singer and painter, and actor Lee Kyu-han as having promised to become a married couple based on trust and love for each other. According to the agency, the two recently met with both families to share their intention to marry. They plan to hold their wedding in April 2027. Like Ha's ceremony, it will be private, with family, relatives and close acquaintances in attendance.

## Why people are linking the two

Because the news arrived a day apart, Korean media has pointed to what the two have in common. Both are described as "artitainers," a Korean-English term for entertainers who also work seriously as visual artists.

- **Ha Jung-woo** has held 16 solo exhibitions in total and has published three essay collections.
- **Solbi** held her first solo exhibition in 2012 and has held more than 10 solo exhibitions in Korea and abroad since. She has published four books in total, including an essay collection.

Star News framed the two as versatile artists who have each found love, and noted that congratulations have been pouring in.

## What we do not know yet

The reports do not give a specific date for Solbi's wedding beyond April 2027, and no venue has been named for it. Ha Jung-woo's venue is described only as a hotel in Seoul. Since both ceremonies are private, details such as guest lists are not expected to be public.

## For international fans

Ha Jung-woo is one of Korea's best-known actors and has appeared in many films that have found audiences overseas. If you want to explore his work, his film catalog is a good place to start, and many Korean films are available on international streaming platforms, though availability varies by country. Solbi is a singer who has also built a career as a painter, and her exhibitions have been held both in Korea and abroad, according to the report. Fans interested in her art can look for information from her agency or exhibition announcements.

In Korea, it is common for celebrity weddings to be held privately and announced in advance through an agency statement, as happened in both cases here. Congratulatory messages usually come through media coverage and social media rather than at the ceremony itself.
